PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for advantageously manufacturing an irreducible dielectric ceramic having high reliability under a high electric field and the flat temperature characteristic of dielectric constant. SOLUTION : The method for manufacturing the irreducible dielectric ceramic includes processes of : mixing a powdery main component composed of an ABO3based compound (A expresses Ba, or the like, and B expresses Ti, or the like) and having 0.1-0.3 μm average particle diameter with a powdery auxiliary component composed of a rare earth element compound of atomic number ranging from 57 to 71, an Mg compound, an Mn compound, BaZrO3and an Si compound; molding the powdery mixture; and firing the molding under a reducing atmosphere.
