The subject of the present invention is to provide a lamp unit, which restrains insulation penetration between electrodes and a trigger component before lighting the lamp unit and surely performs flash lighting. In the solution method of the present invention, rare gas is encapsulated into the inside of a stick luminance tube (25) as luminance gas while a pair of electrodes (23, 24) is disposed correspondingly. Outside the luminance tube (25) is disposed a trigger component (3), which is composed of a straight trigger tube (31) made by a component with the medium characteristic such as quartz glass and a conductor (34) configured inside the trigger tube (31). The length of the above-mentioned conductor (34) is the length over the area of the space part between the electrodes, and is shorter than the distance L1 between the electrodes. By this way, the insulation penetration between the electrodes (23, 24) and the trigger component (3) of a lamp (2) before lighting is restrained. Moreover, since the conductor (34) is disposed within the trigger tube (31) with the medium characteristic, the lighting can be performed surely by applying voltage to the conductor (34). |
