PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide hot rolled steel free from the generation of surface cracks (surface flaws), which has increased recycling properties without causing deterioration in its mechanical properties and the increase of the production cost, and its production method. SOLUTION : A slab having a composition containing, by mass, 0.01 to 0.20% C, 0 to 2.0% Si, 0.05 to 2.0% Mn, 0 to 0.10% Nb, 0 to 0.10% Ti, 0 to 0.20% V, 0 to 1.0% Cr, 0 to 1.0% Mo, 0 to 0.10% rare earth elements, 0.01 to 0.60% Cu, 0.001 to 0.10% Sn and 0.0002 to 0.0025% B, and the balance Fe with impurities is heated at >=1, 150 deg.C and is hot-rolled to obtain the hot rolled steel. |
