PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a regulator for inhibiting sporulation of molds and inducing colony-like formation.
SOLUTION : The physiological activity regulator for the molds includes a rare sugar, and exhibits induction of colony-like growth of the molds and/or inhibition of the sporulation of the molds, and the application thereof to the fermentation industry are provided. Furthermore, the applications thereof to new aspects are expected in the brewing industry, pharmaceutical production by microorganisms, genetic engineering operation, and cell engineering operation.
