PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a ferroelectric ceramic material containing barium titanate as a main component which can control a Curie temperature in a wide range, has no phase transition in the vicinity of a room temperature, and exhibits excellent ferroelectric characteristics.
SOLUTION : The ferroelectric ceramic material includes an oxide represented by formula : (100-a-b)BaTiO3-aBi203-bM2O3, where M represents a trivalent metal other than Bi, and a and b satisfy 1≤a≤15, 0≤b≤5, 5≤a+3b≤15, and M is preferably a trivalent metal selected from fifth period transition metals or rare earth metals having an atomic number of 59 or higher to 69 or lower.
