It is an object of the present invention to make it possible to recover and recycle the rare metals such as gallium and indium safely from the III-V group compound semiconductors.
A method for recovering the metals according to the present invention is characterized by recovering at least one metal selected from the group comprising gallium, indium and aluminum from the III-V group compound semiconductors or the semiconducting materials of them containing at least one element selected from the group comprising arsenic, antimony and selenium, and comprising the step of adsorbing the arsenic, antimony and selenium selectively to an adsorbent containing the rare-earth metal compound with the use of the adsorbent. |
