PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a hydrogen storage electrode excellent in a high rate discharge characteristic and formed by using a long-life hydrogen storage alloy. SOLUTION : This electrode is provided with a CaCu5 type structure and formed by using a hydrogen storage alloy which can store/release hydrogen reversibly. In a non-stoichiometric composition of hydrogen storage alloy used for the hydrogen storage electrode, a molar ratio B/A of an auxiliary constituent element B mainly consisting of transition metal to a principal constituent element A mainly consisting of rare earth metal is larger than 5.00 for a stoichiometic composition. |
