PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a thermal transfer sheet, medium of a heat transfer receiving sheet, bobbin for winding up the medium, or cassette for storing the medium, which can be controlled to be used in a thermal transfer printer, by limiting to a thermal transfer sheet, medium of a heat transfer receiving sheet, bobbin for winding up the medium, and cassette for storing the medium, i.e. articles of consumption which are genuine parts received authorization of quality assurance from a manufacture of the printer, and deterioration of print quality and deterioration of a thermal head can be prevented, in order to be properly printed in the printer.
SOLUTION : The thermal transfer sheet 1 is provided with at least a heat transferable color material layer 3 in one surface of a base material film 2, and at least a heat-resistant slipping layer 4 in other surface of the base material film 2. A rare-earth substance, which emits fluorescence against irradiation of an electromagnetic wave of a specific wavelength region, is contained in at least one of the heat transferable color material layer 3 and heat-resistant slipping layer 4.
