PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a permanent magnet motor which obtains a sufficient torque while reducing noise and vibration, even when two kinds of permanent magnets different in a coercive force are used.
SOLUTION : In the permanent magnet motor 100, a rotor includes a first rotor 9a wherein the permanent magnet is constituted of a rare earth magnet 8a of a high coercive force magnet, and a second rotor 9b wherein the permanent magnet is constituted of a ferrite magnet 8b of a low coercive force magnet less in the coercive force than the rare earth magnet 8a. The first and second rotors 9a, 9b are disposed in the axially longitudinal direction, and the magnet insertion hole 11a of the first rotor 9a and the magnet insertion hole 11b of the second rotor 9b are disposed facing each other.
