PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a discharge lamp with a reflecting mirror, restraining temperature rise of an electrode on an opening part side of the reflecting mirror, and with less electrode wear.
SOLUTION : The discharge lamp with a reflecting mirror 100 includes : an oval-shape reflecting mirror 3 having an opening part 3a and a neck part 3b on the opposite side of the opening part 3a; an F electrode 12 nearly matching its center axis with a center axis connecting between the opening part 3a and the neck part 3b of the oval-shape reflecting mirror 3, nearly matching a center of a light-emitting part 11 with a focus of the oval-shape reflecting mirror 3, and welded with an F molybdenum foil 15 by which an F lead wire 17 is welded in a quartz bulb 20; an R electrode 13 welded with an R molybdenum foil 16 by which an R lead wire 18 is welded; an arc tube 1 having the light-emitting part 11 with mercury 14 and rare gas sealed at a nearly center part; and an electrode temperature rise-restraining processing part 60 at least applied on a surface in the vicinity of the F electrode 12 on the opening part 3a side of the oval-shape reflecting mirror 3 in the quarts bulb 20 forming the light-emitting part 11, and restraining the temperature rise of the F electrode 12.
