PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a hydrogenous gas pump in which a magnetic electric motor can be mounted on a motor chamber by preventing the hydrogenous gas from entering and diffusing into the motor chamber connected to a compression chamber, and which can be downsized.
SOLUTION : A hydrogen pump 10 has : the compression chamber 12 which compresses hydrogen gas by a compressing means 11; an electric motor 13 containing a rare-earth magnet; and a shaft 14 which transmits the power of the electric motor 13 to the compressing means 11. It is also provided with : a motor chamber 15 connected to the compression chamber 12; a sealing member 20 which seals the gap between a shaft 14 and a throgh hole 25; a rotating blade 22 which blows air towards the connecting part between the compression chamber 12 in order to keep the inner pressure of the motor chamber 15 at least at the connecting part between the compression chamber 12 higher than the inner pressure of the compression chamber 12; and a discharging section 21 which discharges the gas inside the motor chamber 15 to the outside between an installing part and the connecting part of the electric motor 13.
