PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a shunt suppressing any damages when a normal operation is completed or when the operation is interrupted, and preventing any damage caused by the inertia without constantly providing any exclusive brake.
SOLUTION : The shunt 1 comprises : an operational rod 7 and a locking rod 9; a driving motor 3 for driving the rods; a reduction gear mechanism 13 which decelerates the driving force of the driving motor and transmits it to the operational rod; and a hysteresis type torque limiter 15 built in the reduction gear mechanism. The reduction gear mechanism has a plurality of stages of deceleration units, and the hysteresis type torque limiter 15 is arranged between the plurality of stages of deceleration units. The hysteresis type torque limiter has a permanent magnet part 33, and a hysteresis magnetizing unit 35 arranged opposite thereto. The permanent magnet part is a rare earth magnet, and more specifically, a samarium cobalt magnet.
