简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To perform mutual separation by group on spent fuel into four groups, that is, a platinum element group, a group including nuclear fission product elements and rare earth elements, a tervalent minor actinide element group, and a fuel constituent element group, by a simple process which is a unit operation method at normal temperatures, without using organic solvents. SOLUTION : This separation method by group for spent fuel is equipped with first and second processes. In the first process, diluted hydrochloric acid solution of spent fuel is supplied to a resin column, packed with a basic anion exchange resin; then, spent fuel eluent including no platinum element group is caused to flow out by causing diluted hydrochloric acid to pass therethrough; and thereafter, the platinum element group adsorbed to the resin is separated/removed therefrom. In the second process, continuingly, concentrated hydrochloric acid solution of spent fuel with the platinoid element group removed therefrom is supplied to a similar resin column; then the group, including nuclear fission product elements and rare earth elements, is caused to flow out by causing concentrated hydrochloric acid to pass therethrough, further; the tervalent minor actinide element group is caused to flow out by causing hydrochloric acid of 6M or higher to pass therethrough; and thereafter, the fuel constituent element group is caused to flow out by causing diluted hydrochloric acid to pass therethrough, thus performing mutual separation into three groups.
