PURPOSE : A catalyst for decomposition of ethylene dichloride is provided to offer good durability about deactivation, and to increase the conversion ration of the ethylene dichloride and the selectivity of vinyl chloride in low temperature.CONSTITUTION : A catalyst for decomposition of ethylene dichloride includes a carbon carrier and a metal compound. The metal compound is selected between alkali metals and alkaline earth metals supported in the carbon carrier. The metal selected between silica and alumina is supported on the carbon carrier. The total content of the metal compound is 0.5 ~ 10 weight%%. The carbon carrier is activated carbon. The surface area of the carbon carrier is 5~2000 m/g. A catalyst cracking method of the ethylene dichloride includes a step for using a catalyst for decomposing the ethylene dichloride and a step for performing a decomposition reaction at a temperature of 200~500 °C.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010 |
