A vegetation mat for reinforcement and vegetation of a revetment and a slope and a construction method thereof are provided to minimize fabrication cost of artificial soil and prevent washing away of seeds on water, marsh, and low- and high-water revetment. A vegetation mat comprises a slope protecting material(10), a plant(20), a coating agent(30), a filler(40) and a reinforcement net(50). The slope protecting material is formed to a three-dimensional net-like structure similar to a root of the plant. The plant is selected from a group consisting of seeds, a stem and the root. The coating agent is selected from a group consisting of pulp, straw, jute, and the fiber yarn. The filler is made of natural fiber yarn. |
