PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for efficiently recovering valuable metal with which in the case of recovering the valuable metal from liquid-crystal panel, a cost is suppressed and a loss is reduced; to provide a simple leaching method for suppressing the cost in the method for recovering the metal with wetting system, when recovering the metal, especially, rare metal (indium, etc.) from the raw material, such as liquid crystal panel having a structure composed of multi-layers of the liquid crystal panel itself and the composition having complicated relation in the difference of properties on respective layers and such as the liquid crystal panel having many and complicated structures; and also to provide a method for recovering the metal.
SOLUTION : The leaching method for metal from the liquid crystal panel includes : generating a crack on glass of the liquid crystal panel; immersing it in acidic solution; and leaching out the metal.
