PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth bonded magnet molded object which can be produced using a simple process and exhibiting the required sufficient corrosion resistance, and to provide its production method.
SOLUTION : A resin skin layer of a rare earth bonded magnet molded object formed of thermoplastic resin binder on the periphery of the molding object is 0.1-2 μm, at injection molding. A method for producing a rare earth bonded magnet molded object comprises a step for obtaining an injection molding object, by injecting a mixture of rare earth magnet powder and thermoplastic resin binder into a cavity through a runner and a gate; a step for cutting the gate portion of the runner and the injection molding object; and a step for heating the gate portion, between the fusion point and the melting point of the resin binder, and making the resin binder fuse into the gate portion.
