PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnet powder which not only has excellent magnetic properties, but also, ensures high fluidity of the composition obtained by being kneaded with a resin binder.
SOLUTION : The method for producing rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnet powder for a bond magnet includes : a stage where rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnet coarse powder is pulverized in a phosphoric acid-containing organic solvent (first solution); a stage where the obtained slurry is subjected to solid-liquid separation; and a stage where the separated magnet fine powder is heated and dried at ≥150°C, wherein the obtained magnet fine powder is mixed-stirred with an organic solvent (second solution) containing phosphoric acid of 0.1 to 0.5 mol/L after the heating and drying stage, and then heated-dried at ≥150°C, for forming a uniform and firm phosphate coating film on the surface.
