PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a polycarbonate resin composition having excellent mechanical strength, and transparency and a high refractive index and low dispersibility, and to provide an optical component obtained by molding the polycarbonate resin composition.
SOLUTION : The polycarbonate resin composition comprises a metal cluster (B) in which a counter metal is bound through an oxygen atom to the central metal composed of a rare earth metal in an amount of 0.1-200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the polycarbonate resin (A) having ≥5, 000 ppm terminal OH concentration. The optical component is obtained by molding the polycarbonate resin composition. In a preferred embodiment, the central metal is at least one kind selected from among the group consisting of yttrium and lanthanoid elements, and the counter metal is at least one kind selected from among the group consisting of group 4 elements, group 5 elements and group 13 elements.
