PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a nickel-hydrogen storage battery which suppresses fluctuations of hydrogen equilibrium pressure depending on storage hydrogen amount, and which is large in electrochemical capacity in the nickel-hydrogen storage battery using rare earth Mg-Ni-based alloy equipped with a C-axis laminate constitution.
SOLUTION : The nickel-hydrogen storage battery includes a negative electrode containing an La-Mg-Ni based hydrogen storage alloy, wherein the hydrogen storage alloy has a laminate structure in which a plurality of crystal phases are laminated in a C-axis direction of the crystal structure, and in which the hydrogen storage alloy contains one or more of elements selected from a group consisting of a 3B group element (except Al), a 4B group element, and a 5B group element.
