PURPOSE : A method for manufacturing a metal nuclear fuel is provided to prevent the oxidation of minor actinide and suppress volatilization of minor actinide element having strong volatility.CONSTITUTION : A metal nuclear melting solution by melting a reaction mixture comprising metal nuclear fuel, minor actinide element, and rare earth element. A molten solution having slag film on the surface is produced in reaction furnace. A metal nuclear fuel molten solution is produced in fuel core. The rare earth element is one of yttrium, scandium and lanthanide system element. The lanthanide system element is lanthanum(La), cerium(Ce), praseodymium(Pr) or neodymium(Nd).© KIPO 2009 |
