PURPOSE : A magnesium alloy including alkaline-earth metals and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain the fire resistance of the alloy by adding the small quantity of alkaline earth metal oxide in the magnesium and the magnesium alloy.CONSTITUTION : A manufacturing method of a magnesium alloy including alkaline-earth metals comprises : a first step(100) injecting pure magnesium or magnesium alloy in a crucible and dissolving the magnesium or the magnesium alloy in protective gas atmosphere at the temperature of 600~800°C; a second step(200) adding alkaline earth metal oxide powder of 0.0001~30 weight%% and agitating the magnesium alloy; a third step(300) post-agitating the magnesium alloy for 300 minutes or less; and a fourth step(400) manufacturing a billet or a casting by injecting the magnesium alloy into a mold at the temperature of 600~700°C.
