PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode structure for an electrolyzer by which the corrosion of a metal made energizing member for supplying power to an electrode member is prevented, the electrolyzer and a method of refining a metal.
SOLUTION : The electrolyzer is an apparatus for taking out a metal from a metal chloride by electrolysis and is provided with an electrode structural body. The electrode structural body is provided with : a plurality of electrode plates 7 arranged side-by-side with a certain space; a pair of metal made energizing rods 11 electrically connected to the electrodes of both ends of the plurality of the electrode plates to supply power; and a plurality of protective tubes 13 provided to each of the energizing rod 11 respectively to cover the correspondent energizing rod 11. A space 21 is present between the protective tube 13 and the energizing rod 11 and the protective tube 13 is provided with an introducing port 13b for taking in a gas X such as a rare gas into the space 21.
