PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a hydrogen permeable body using a Pd alloy film containing a rare earth element as a hydrogen permselective film and enhanced in the adhesion of the film to a porous support and the durability of hydrogen permeability, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION : The hydrogen permeable body is constituted by providing a rock salt structure type nitride film on the single surface of the porous support made of stainless steel or alumina and providing the Pd alloy film containing 5 at.% or more of at least one of rare earth elements on the surface of the nitride film.
