PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a thin and compact deodorizing filter with low pressure loss and high deodorizing capacity and an air cleaning device using the same. SOLUTION : The deodorizing filter 1 which is a constituent of an air cleaning device is constituted of an adsorbing material 3 adsorbing toxic gas and malodor in air, fiber 4 carrying a catalyzer and the adsorbing material 3, and a filter frame 5 housing the fiber. The diameter of the fiber 4 is 5 to 30 μm; the basic weight of the fiber is 40 to 400 g/m2, and the carrying quantities of the catalyzer 2 and the adsorbing material carried by the fiber 4 are 100 to 900 g/m2 respectively. Further, the fiber 4 is constituted of an inorganic material which is mainly constituted of a silicon compound, a transition metal, or carbon or a polymer organic material, and the main component of the catalyzer carried by the fiber 4 comprises at least one kind of metal oxides or rare metals.
