PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a light emitting device capable of extracting light of another wavelength by using an LD for outputting laser light of a certain wavelength.
SOLUTION : The light emitting device includes the LD for outputting light generated by induced emission process as laser light, and an emitter including rare earth ions. The emitter receives light output from the LD, and outputs light emitted by absorbing the received light by the rare earth ions to the outside.
