PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a composition for a bond magnet for obtaining a bond magnet superior in resistance to hot water, and a method for manufacturing the composition.
SOLUTION : A method for manufacturing a composition for a bond magnet comprises the steps of : kneading rare earth iron nitrogen-based magnetic powder with an acid-modified polypropylene resin, thereby obtaining a first kneaded mixture; and kneading the first kneaded mixture, a polypropylene resin and an amorphous resin having a glass transition temperature of 120°C or higher and 250°C or lower, thereby obtaining a second kneaded mixture. In the method, the acid-modified polypropylene resin is 3.5 pts.wt. or more and less than 10.4 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the rare earth iron nitrogen-based magnetic powder, and the total amount of the polypropylene resin and the amorphous resin is 0.35 pts.wt. or more and less than 3.88 pts.wt.
