PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a supporting device for a movable partition, which enables a sash hanger (roller) to be smoothly shifted between both rails, even if rare types of rails are combined together.
SOLUTION : A pair of upper and lower traveling portions 17 and 23 elongated in a longitudinal direction are formed in both rail portions 15a and 15b, respectively. A pair of upper and lower rollers 9 and 10, which rotates around the axial center of a hanging support rod 8 mounted on a partition panel 3, slides in such a manner as to correspond to the traveling portions 17 and 23, so that the partition panel 3 can be movably supported. Either of both side bottom portions of upper and lower guide grooves 17a and 23a, which allow the penetration of the hanging support rod 8, serves inclined bottom portions 21 and 26, and the other one of them serves as almost horizontal bottom portions 18 and 25. Both the rail portions 15a and 15b are joined together via inclined planes 16a and 16b which are each turned by the same angle in the same direction from a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rail portion in a view from a top surface.
