PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a gold alloy bonding wire which ensures high reliability at high temperature without destroying a pad electrode upon the first bonding.
SOLUTION : The 3N gold alloy bonding wire contains, by mass, 0.0049 to <0.035% Pt, 0.0049 to <0.035% Cu, 0.0001 to <0.020% Pd and 0.0001 to <0.005% Ca. Preferably, the gold alloy bonding wire further contains one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of Be, rare earth elements, Sn and Ge by 0.0001 to <0.015% in total.
