PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth bond magnet having a satisfactory mechanical strength and a rustproof film.
SOLUTION : An external surface or its part of a magnet compact comprising an NdFeB system or an SmFeN system rare earth bond magnet is covered by a covering molded by an injection molding of a thermoplastic resin having a small friction coefficient. The coefficient μk of dynamic friction of the covering in this instance is not more than 0.3, and the limit PV value is not less than 50 (MPa cm)/s (slide velocity 30 cm/s to steel).
