SOLUTION : The invention relates to a soft magnetic nickel-iron alloy containing 35 to 65 mass% nickel, one or several of the rare earths cerium, lanthanum, praseodymium or neodymium and the impurities introduced during smelting, the sum of the rare earths being between 0.003 to 0.05 mass%, and the ratio of the sum of the rare earths by mass% is higher than the sulfur content by mass% at least by 4.4 times.
