PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a luminous artificial gut that emits a light by an external stimulation such as light, etc., and has afterglow luminance retention properties for an extremely long time even after removal of light, exhibits excellent water resistance and has a sufficient strength as an artificial gut. SOLUTION : The luminous artificial gut comprises a monofilament obtained by subjecting a polyamide-based resin composition containing 2.5-20 wt.% of a luminous phosphor composed of an alkaline earth metal oxide and a rare earth oxide to melt spinning and has a specifically defined afterglow luminance retention ratio of 40-100%.
