PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a scintillator capable of adopting a joining means as a substitute of a means depending on kinds of glass material and metal material for fusion or the like, and capable of restraining sufficiently moisture from being permeated into a crystal, in a scintillator comprising a package provided with the crystal of highly deliquescent rare earth halide.
SOLUTION : This scintillator 50 of the present invention includes the scintillator crystal 5 using the rare earth halide as a base material, a storage member 20 for storing the scintillator crystal 5 and having an opening part 20a, a glass window member 1 for closing the opening part 20a of the storage member 20, and an adhesive member 30 for bonding the storage member 20 and the window member 1, and the adhesive member 30 is constituted of a material having prescribed moisture permeability resistance.
