PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide the material for crusher parts having improved abrasion resistance, impact resistance and thermal shock resistance. SOLUTION : The material used as the crusher parts is a sintered body of silicon nitride, which contains 75-95 wt.% of silicon nitride, at least one element selected from Y and rare-earth elements in an amount of 1-12 wt.% expressed in terms of its oxide, Al in an amount of 0.01-5 wt.% expressed in terms of its oxide, and oxygen as impurity in an amount of =3.20 g/cm , a porosity of of silicon nitride, measured by Raman spectroscopy, to that of the peak at 521 cm of Si is in the range of 0.2-3, and furthermore if necessary, may contain an amount of <=8 wt.% of at least one metal compound selected from among the group of the metal compounds containing Mg, W, Mo, Mn, Cu and Fe. |
