PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide saline solution-resistant magnet alloy powder which is capable of improving a bonded magnet or a compact magnet in saline solution- resistant properties in an environment where the magnet is brought into contact with a saline solution, a method of manufacturing the same, a resin composition for the bonded magnet using the same, and the bonded magnet or the compact magnet. SOLUTION : A composite metallic phosphate film (B), which is composed of the metallic phosphate (b-1) of iron and rare earth elements and the metallic phosphate (b-2) of one or more elements selected out of aluminum, zinc, manganese, copper, and calcium, is formed on the surface of magnet powder (A) formed of iron-based magnet alloy powder containing rare earth elements for the formation of the saline solution-resistant magnet alloy powder.
