PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a waste water treatment apparatus, which can realize re-converting-to-substrate treatment, in consideration with the occurrence of excess sludge and can suppress an increase in operation cost, and to provide a waste water treatment method and a control unit.
SOLUTION : The waste water treatment apparatus comprises an aeration tank 1, a re-converting-to-substrate apparatus 2, reconverting-to-substrate lines 24 and 25, a return line 23, a discharge line 26 for excess sludge discharge, a control unit 15, measuring means (8 to 12), and line switching means (6 and 7). The measuring means acquires information on substrate concentration CWO of waste water, which flows into the aeration tank 1, the amount QO of waste water per day, the concentration (CD4, CE4, CWS4) of organic carbon in sludge to be treated, SS concentration XS1 of survival sludge within the aeration tank 1, and the concentration (CD3, CE3, CS3) of organic carbon in the concentrated sludge. The control unit 15 calculates, based on the information acquired by the measuring means, the amount Q4 per day of the sludge to be treated, which can be supplied into the aeration tank 1, and the amount Q5 of excess sludge per day which can be discharged, in this case, and provides an instruction to the line switching means so as to satisfy Q4 and Q5.
