PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a highly durable organic electroluminescence element of strong emission, and to provide a display system.
SOLUTION : An organic electroluminescence element contains a rare earth complex consisting of a rare earth atom and a specific ligand. A display system is also provided. Since coordination seats are arranged asymmetrically to the rare earth atom for the specific ligand, absorption spectrum is shifted to long wavelength and the specific ligand exhibits good energy transfer efficiency. Furthermore, since solubility and amorphous nature are high, an organic electroluminescence element or a display system having excellent characteristics is achieved.
