PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a multichannel radiation detector in which the gap between scintillators is filled with a white mixture having high radiation shielding power and high light reflecting performance in place of a metallic radiation shielding plate made of Mo, W, Pb, or the like. SOLUTION : The multichannel radiation detector comprises a plurality of radiation detectors each comprising scintillators and semiconductor light detecting elements laid in layers wherein the gap between the scintillators and the periphery of the scintillators are filled or covered with a white mixture having radiation shielding power of at least one kind of oxide, sulphate, carbonate or chloride of Ba or rare earth element, rutile type titanium oxide and resin except the radiation incident face of the scintillator and the opposing face of the semiconductor light detecting element. |
