PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a rare earth magnet powder in which a nitridation amount is uniform, and also, magnetic properties in the nitridation amount are satisfactory, and to provide a rare earth bond magnet.
SOLUTION : The method for producing a rare earth magnet powder where a magnet powder having a composition containing a rare earth element(s) and iron is nitrided includes : an over-nitriding stage for surplusly infiltrating nitrogen into the magnet powder; and a surplus nitrogen exhausting stage for exhausting nitrogen surplusly comprised in the magnet powder. The rare earth bond magnet is obtained by using the magnet powder produced by the production method.
