PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an absorption type chiller and heater promptly detecting whether a fall of the liquid level is temporary or a fall in the normal state because an absorption liquid level detecting part detects the limit value of the absorption liquid level or lower in some cases due to the temporary fluctuation of the absorption liquid level of a high temperature regenerator in a boiling state in starting or during operation, and continuing the operation of the absorption type chiller and heater in the case of the temporary fall of the liquid level but giving a warning of a no-water heating state and stopping the operation of the absorption type chiller and heater to perform no-water heating preventive control in the continuous case.
SOLUTION : The operation of an absorption liquid pump for feeding a rare absorbent of an absorber into the high-temperature regenerator is controlled based on the detection of a level detector for detecting the absorbent level of the high temperature regenerator. When the level detector detects the lower limit value of the absorbent level or lower, the absorption liquid pump is operated at high speed for a predetermined time to increase the amount of absorbent to be fed into the high-temperature regenerator. Whether the absorbent level is a predetermined lower limit level or not is determined after the lapse of the predetermined time, and when it is the predetermined lower limit level, both or one of warning and the operation stop of the absorption type chiller and heater is performed.
