PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To increase a value of resistance in a dust core having a film fluoride; and to make a low loss and high resistance compatible.
SOLUTION : After forming a film composed of a rare earth metal fluoride or alkali earth metal fluoride on a surface of an iron powder or an alloy powder with iron as a main composition, preparatory heat treatment is carried out before compression forming, then, compression forming and straightening heat treatment are performed to manufacture the dust core. The specific resistance is elevated by adding the preparatory heat treatment, thereby making a low iron loss and high resistance compatible. The preparatory heat treatment temperature is preferably the same to a straightening heat treatment temperature or in a range from it to a temperature of 100°C lower than it.
