PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a novel surveillance camera system for continuously monitoring an object to be monitored such as rare birds of prey, in a severe environment, for example, a mountain range in severe winter.
SOLUTION : The surveillance camera system 1 is equipped with a camera unit 12 which photographs an object 10 to be monitored such as rare birds of prey, power supply units 18, 20, 24, and 26, and a scene recorder 22 which is powered by the power supply units and records video data from the camera unit and transmits it at need. Then the power supply units have solar panel groups 18 and 20 having a plurality of solar panels and battery units 24 and 26 having a plurality of batteries including batteries connected to the solar panel groups and having at least two or more kinds of capacity.
