PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing and storing a gas hydrate which can reduce the energy consumption when a natural gas is formed into the NGH slurry and stored . SOLUTION : A gas hydrate slurry (c) is formed from a gas (a) and water (b). This gas hydrate slurry (c) is stored in a reservoir 8. This gas hydrate (c) in the reservoir 8 is re-gasified by utilizing the waste heat of a condenser 21 of an ice-making refrigerator 20. Excess water (b) containing the water formed in this instance is made into ice by the ice-making refrigerator 20, and the ice (e) is utilized as cold energy on forming the gas hydrate slurry.
