PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a design method of a bag type dust collector in which flow of exhaust air in the collector is analyzed in details, and causing no partial flow of air in the collector. SOLUTION : Temporary data of the dust collector of the design object are inputted and the air flow in the collector is analyzed by an air flow analyzing means. From the results of analysis, in the case of generation of a high speed laminar flow A by partial flow inside the collector, the temporary data of area, shape and location of an inlet duct and straightening vanes disposed in the collector are corrected, and the corrected data are re-inputted to analyze air flow in the collector by the air flow analyzing means. From the results of analysis, by repeating analysis until no generation of the high speed laminar flow A by partial flow inside the collector is confirmed, data are determined for area, shape and location of the inlet duct and straightening vanes causing no high speed laminar flow A by partial flow inside the collector to be designed.
