PURPOSE : A varistor is provided to reduce electrostatic capacity without area decrement of opposing electrodes by using a second phase consisting of oxide except zinc oxide.CONSTITUTION : A varistor(1) comprises a magnetism composition(11) and two or more electrodes(13, 14). The magnetism composition has the non-linear voltage characteristic. A part of magnetism composition is inserted in two between electrodes. The magnetism composition comprises a mixture phase made of a first and second phases. The first phase includes zinc oxide as a main component. The second phase is made of the oxide of Si and Ca. The first phase includes oxide of rare earth metal in addition.© KIPO 2009 |
