简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an air electrode catalyst capable of improving efficiency of an air battery and reducing a used amount of a rare earth element by utilizing a novel catalytic material other than a perovskite type oxide in order to increase efficiency of oxygen reduction in the air electrode. SOLUTION : In order to promote the electrode reaction (oxygen reduction during discharge and oxygen generation during charging) at the time of discharge and charging and improve characteristics of an air battery, a catalyst for an air electrode is used for the air electrode with oxygen as an active material.
