PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a cleaning method and a system of contaminated soil for surely and efficiently recovering contaminant present in a given layer in the ground, in particular, in a gas and water semipermeable layer.
SOLUTION : In the cleaning method of contaminated soil, vibration is applied to earth particles in a contaminated area contaminated with contaminant in the given layer in the ground, air or water is passed through the contaminated area to carry the contaminant with the air or water to recover the contaminant together with the air or water, to thereby clean the contaminated soil. Jetting of air or water to the contaminated area causes vibration of the earth particles.
