PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a fiber-optic gyroscope system with an integrated light source.
SOLUTION : The integrated module for fiber-optic gyroscope system includes fiber-optic sensing coil arranged so as to sense rotation around sensing shaft through Sagnac effect, a substrate, a rare-earth doped optical waveguide formed on the substrate, and a light source. The light source and the rare-earth doped optical waveguide 26 are arranged so as to generate mutually-reversed light waves in the fiber-optic sensing coil. Therefore, the rare-earth doped optical polymer waveguide can be used to form these components, achieving reduction in manufacturing hours, simplification of processes and low-cost manufacturing.
