PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnetic recording medium including a structure in which magnetic layers are coupled in a magnetically anti-parallel state without using any rare metal such as Co or Ru, and to provide a perpendicular magnetic recording medium, a magnetic storage device and a magnetic memory cell.
SOLUTION : In the magnetic recording medium including first and second magnetic layers coupled in a magnetically anti-parallel state via a nonmagnetic layer, the perpendicular magnetic recording medium, the magnetic storage device, and the magnetic memory cell, the first magnetic layer is made of an oxide having an ion crystal structure having a spinel or inverse spinel form, the second magnetic layer is made of a metal having ferromagnetism or an alloy containing the metal having ferromagnetism, and the nonmagnetic layer is made of an insulator of a band gap of 3eV o 8eV.
