PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing rare earth magnet powder and a method of manufacturing a rare earth bond magnet. SOLUTION : In the manufacture of nitrided rare earth magnet powder, a nitriding process is performed. In the nitriding process, alloy powder of rare earth element-transition metal base is irradiated with microwaves under an atmosphere including a nitrogen atom, and the nitrogen atom is allowed to enter the portion between crystal lattices.
